Place the frame in the window opening without screws to check alignment. Use shims to adjust for uneven walls or window frames. Ensure the frame is level and plumb to prevent binding when opening and closing panels.

For interior mounts, attach the frame to the window jamb using screws, pre-drilling holes to avoid splitting the wood. For exterior mounts, secure the frame directly to the wall. Tighten screws gradually and evenly to prevent warping.Hang the panels on the hinges and check that they open and close smoothly. Make minor adjustments to hinges or spacing as needed. Ensure louvers are aligned and operate freely.Fill any small gaps with paintable caulk for a seamless look. Check that all panels are level and that the shutters appear custom-fitted.

For tricky windows or large installations, consider having a helper for safety and accuracy.

The outer frame sections come in a separate box to the louvers, be careful not to use any sharp tools when opening each box. every frame is pre drilled, it would be advisable to talk with us about the measuring to make 100% sure that enough allowances have been made to allow the frame to sit in place comfortably.
